1 Through 13

Verbatim Posted by Picasa

So recently I made the greatest mix for the drives to and from my various jobs. I have been jammin' in my seat ever since I made it the other day. A tracklisting for the curious:

1. Bohemian Like You -- The Dandy Warhols
2. Suavemente -- Elvis Crespo
3. Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger -- Daft Punk (c'mon 1201 ladies!!)
4. Joints & Jam -- Black Eyed Peas, before they sold out
5. Lust For Life -- Iggy Pop
6. Kiss -- Prince
7. Addicted to Love -- Robert Palmer (you may call it lame, but I still looove the rockin' gals all vamped up in black and those red red lips, playing some phony ass instruments!)
8. I Need More Love -- Robert Randolph and the Family Band
9. The Seed 2.0 -- The Roots f/ Cody ChestnuTT
10. The Denial Twist -- The White Stripes
11. Mysterious Ways -- U2
12. Let Love Rule -- Lenny Kravitz
13. Could You Be Loved? -- Bob Marley and The Whalers

Seriously, you should download some or all of this immediately. Or let me know if you want a copy and I will burn one and drop in the mail for you.

I am getting pretty excited for Turkey Day. Should be goooood this year, I foresee lots and lots of yummy yummy food in my near future. I better start working out now!! Hahahaha....

Oh, and a shout out to my gal Aubrey, who now finds herself gainfully employed in the Windy City! You go with your bad self.

I would kill to see some System of A Down, I haven't been to a big concert until 2002! I did manage to see Quiet Riot the other weekend, they don't rock quite as hard as they used to, but still enjoyable! I'd like to see you jump around in the pit, see how crazy you are!

Dear Maria,

Hi, it's your boyfriend, Shaun, just incase you forgot. I think the cd is okay, but Coldplay is much better. As far as moshing, leave that to the clowns cause you are way toooooo beautiful to put that pretty face at risk.

Love, Shaun

This does look pretty solid, I have to say. Might I also submit a few that have been keeping me hoppin' recently?

For obvious reasons:
"The El" -- Rhett Miller
"Chicago" -- Frank Sinatra

For less obvious reasons:
"Rollercoaster" -- Sleater-Kinney
"Outtathaway" -- The Vines
"Use It" -- The New Pornographers
"Ghost" -- Neutral Milk Hotel

This is not an exhaustive list, of course.

P.S. my employment is not just gainful -- it's lakefront! Did you get the e-mail I sent with all the pics?

Dear Shaun--

How could I ever forget about you? You are my baby.

Crazy love,
Maria

P.S.Moshing still rules, it really does, in spite of the bruising and the bra breaking and occasional blood. But you know I love Coldplay too. :)
